Prepare for Your Tests
Follow these guidelines to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
Fasting
⚠️ Some tests require fasting. Please verify your specific requirements when booking.
For accurate results, the following tests require a fasting period of 10–12 hours (water is allowed). Schedule your collection early in the morning for best compliance.

- Lipid profile (cholesterol & triglycerides)
- Insulin & HOMA-IR
- Liver function tests
- Iron & transferrin
- Homocysteine
Blood Sample Collection
Blood tests are performed by our trained phlebotomists at any branch or at your home.
- Stay well hydrated — drink plenty of water before your collection.
- Wear loose, short-sleeved clothing for easy arm access.
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours before the test.
- Inform our team of any medications you are taking.
- Arrive relaxed — avoid caffeine on the morning of your test.
Urine Sample Collection
Urine samples should reach our laboratory within 2 hours of collection. First morning urine is preferred.
Stool Sample Collection
Stool samples must arrive within 2 hours of collection, or be refrigerated for up to 8 hours.
- Use the provided sterile stool container.
- Do not contaminate with urine or toilet water.
- Select areas with visible abnormality (blood, mucus) if present.
- Do not collect during menstruation.
- Refrigerate if not delivered within 2 hours.
- Inform the lab of any recent antibiotic use.
Semen Analysis
Semen analysis requires specific preparation to ensure accurate results.
- Abstain from intercourse or masturbation for 2–7 days before collection.
- Collect the entire sample in the sterile container provided — do not use condoms.
- Do not allow any spillage; the entire volume is essential for analysis.
- Deliver the sample to the laboratory within 60 minutes of collection.
- Keep the container at body temperature (trouser pocket) during transport.
- Inform the lab of any recent illness or medication use.
